So I'm going to take it upon myself to start the 2011 scrapping challenge and anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome!!! I'm going to be a bit more realistic with my goal this year, since I didn't come even close in 2010 ): I'm challenging myself to 1 page per week, so 52 in total, and 2 cards per month, so 24 in total. That way I'll have time for some altered items too (:
I'm still working on organizing all of my paper in my new room!! What a job! I'm having a hard time deciding what to do with my older CTMH half used packs. Do I take them out of the packages and combine them somehow?? or leave them??
Also, how should I organize my scraps??? (I'm thinking I should have just thrown half of them out!)
If you have any suggestions for me please send them my way.
So, anyway, I'm going to start the 2011 Challenge on my side bar and if you're interested in being a part of it just let me know and I will add you to it (:
Big Hugs for the New Year!!!
P.S. Roxy, Roz, and Kim, I have left you on for now (: no pressure of course!!

I would love to join you in this. I have set my goals for this year to get caught up.
ReplyDeleteSound great! I didn't come in close to my goals for 2010, but am setting up more realistic goals for this year too. Would love to join you too!
ReplyDeleteOf course I'm in Jenn! I think I'm going to go with 52 layouts this year too, that will be more reasonable I think! And thanks for your last comment on my blog, it does make me feel better, although it's too bad that your plans were upset. Ah well, at least there's no hangovers to deal with today!!! Hugs to you, and I'm sure 2011 will be fantastic with our NEW challenge group!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm in for part of it. Can't commit to the scrapping part, but will commit to the card part. Last year I made 457 cards - my goal this year is to not make as many! But I will commit to 3 cards a week. Does that work? As an over-achiever though I think I'll likely exceed that target.
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn, sounds great! Kim and I had discussed doing cards this time around so I think this will work for me! Are we going to link everyone's blogs up?
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining ladies!!!! It's up to you to decide on your challenge, layouts, cards.... and how many. I just found being a part of a challenge gave me a bit more motivation to get things done. I am going to list everyone on my side bar so that I can see when someone has done something new, because I don't know about you but I love to get comments (: and this way I know who to leave a comment for.
ReplyDeleteHappy scrapping (:
Jenn, I just nominated you for a blog award!!!
ReplyDeleteI would like to join your challenge at 1 page per week, so 52 in total, and 2 cards per month, so 24 in total. This should be reasonable enough for me too.
ReplyDeleteThese are my tips on your organizing issues, your older CTMH half used packs, I would leave them in a baggie of their own marked older stuff.
I organize my cardstock scraps in a binder with page protectors by colour hues example: all scraps of blush, hollyhock and bubblegum go in one protector, indian corn blue, twilight, crystal blue goes into another page protector. I keep my B&T scraps in their big baggies with the rest of the paper pack. I use extra baggies to do the same with other non ctmh papers that I have.
I have another consultant - Jenn S. - who is joining us. This is the link to her blog: http://scrappin-geek.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI have everyone's blog linked on my sidebar.
Best of luck with your crafty New Year resolution, Jenn! You are a brave girl putting out there on your blog, smile...not sure I could be that brave or committed! Thanks so much for leaving me such a sweet comment today! Hey, did I ever tell you that my son is called Kieran too. Not many with that name although it is becoming more common! Anyways...hope you have a fab week!
ReplyDeleteHugs,t

ReplyDeleteJust thought of something Jenn..... I have the blog weekly challenges that runs 10 weeks then it starts over - majority of that applies to the scrapbooking.. Curious if you guys think that'd be a great idea to incorporate that into the challenge you're doing?
ReplyDeleteHey Jenn! I'd love to join your challenge, but a layout a month and a card a week would be more realistic for me :)Found you through the bulletin board again ;)
