Yay!!! The Perfect Poison is Up!!!!

I received my package from Annie Rodrigue (Moonlight Whispers) the other day!! I was so excited!!! The Perfect Poison is my absolute favourite piece of hers (has nothing to do with the fact that I went to University for Chemistry (: ) I think most of you are familiar with the images Annie creates for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, they are always so amazing!! (Thanks Kimmie for finding Annie and introducing so many of us to her work (: )

I finally got Lee to help me put it up tonight. I had to get him to take down the shelf that the baskets were on and with it came a few chunks of paint ): I managed to cover some of the wholes with the scroll but I'll have to figure something out for the other spots ):

These pictures were taken tonight so hopefully they do it justice!!

I added the last one just so you could get an idea of how big it is. Annie also has Red Riding Hood in the same size (27x18.5") and Night Wish which is almost double in size (42x33")

Have a great week!!!

Together Forever

I have so many birthday cards I should be making right now, but this cute little stamp from Lili of the Valley, and a few of this weeks challenges, inspired me to make this card for my DH for Valentines Day (:

I'm entering this card in the CPS sketch challenge #202, The Pink Elephants colour challenge (red, brown, and pink), and in the Basic Grey challenge- flowers and Paper Sundaes Valentine challenge.

The dp is BGs Bittersweet, the cs is CTMH and Neenah. The flowers are Recollections, and pearls CTMH.
I stamped the image in Momento ink and coloured it with my copics. I used SU punches for the sentiment and spellbinders for the mats. The ribbon is from Fabricland.

Scrap Room Take 2

So my husband saw me taking pics of my room and says "what, are you competing with the other girls for who has the better room?". I told him "no, we just like to see what other people's rooms look like and how they organize their stuff, just like you like looking at snowmachines and boats!!). He thought I was a bit nuts but anyway?!

I'm still not done my room, I still have lots of organizing and decorating left to do, but it has come a ways since the last time I posted pics. I'm also posting these for the H2H Challenge - From Your Heart to Ours (Organization). There are some really great rooms/ideas linked up, so if you're looking for some ideas you should check them out. There is everything from small areas to full rooms!!

I just ordered a wall scroll of Annie Rodrigue's Perfect Poison!!! I can't wait for it to get here!!! I absolutely love her work and the images she creates for Kraftin' Kimmie's stamps!! It will go perfectly with my green walls (: Once I figure out where I will put it, I will try to get to decorating. I would really like to go to Ikea for a few things but that will have to wait for a trip down south.

Anyway, her are a few more pics. I took a few close ups of things too.

This is the view from the door. I got some money for my birthday so I bought myself the carousel from Michaels (to hold all my little tools), and the stool from Canadian Tire.

This is beside the door. All of my cubes from Michaels. I have my paper organized by company on the shelves (2 or 3 are CTMH). I wasn't sure what to do with my old half used CTMH paper packs but I finally decided to take them out of the bags. I put the full sheets or almost full sheets in the filing drawer cube and the scraps went in one of the Iris containers (I have one for CTMH scraps and one for non CTMH scraps)
The drawers hold glitter/embossing powders & accessories, stickers, chipboard, 6x6 paper pads, border punches, inks (retired CTMH and other companies), I-Top & accessories...

I picked this up at Michaels too. I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it but I think it should work with the new shape of SU punches.

This is the far wall. It still needs some work, but I'm thinking this might be where the wall scroll will go. I would also either like to get one of those great expedit shelves from Ikea or a work table for the kids to put under the shelf. I had to put it up high enough that I wasn't banging my head off of it when I was working at my counter.
The baskets on the shelf hold some of my CTMH stamps. The drawers below I got from Costco, and it holds all of my scrap cs, organized by colour (Azelyn helped me sort through them all one day). My cuttlebug plates are in the bottom drawer.

Inside one of the baskets on the shelf.

My non CTMH stamps, all in SU DVD cases. Two rows fit perfectly in the bottom drawer of the cupboards. Another drawer holds my cricut cartridges.

This one holds my copics and my CTMH cases (blocks and embellishments)

My spellbinders in a little album from Walmart. I didn't attach the magnetic sheets to the paper so they are easier to slide out.

The other corner (you'll notice I didn't get the bottom cupboard in the pic, it's a bit of a disaster area still ):
I have my older SU punches on a bar from Ikea, the brown baskets hold ribbon. My brother made me the wooden shelf years ago and Lee just added a dowel through for ribbon. I have all of my ink pads, markers, reinkers, stickles and smooch on my CTMH ink tower. The little wire baskets hold my cuttlebug folders, flowers, and bling (:

When I finally get to Ikea I am going to buy magnetic sheets to put on the brown side of the upper cupboard.

A close up of my pretty Prima tins (:

Well that's it for now. Once I have it decorated I will add a couple of more pics.

Hugs!!!

Thanks Nise!!!

Just before Christmas I decided to buy my hubby the big screen TV he has been wanting for years (yeah I know!! think of all the scrapbooking supplies you could buy with that amount of money!!). At first I was looking at 46" LCD TVs but when I went in I changed my mind and got him a 50" plasma. Well all I had for a vehicle that day was my Intrepid. We tried to get it in the backseat but it was about 2" too big (which means if I had went with the 46 it would have fit!!) So, I figured I would be brave and while Lee was at work the next day I would drive his truck, which has horrible steering!! So what does he do that night? He loads up all of the garbage from our deck (from the renos) that has been sitting there for a good week or so!!!! There goes the truck idea! Anyway, I called my Aunt Denise about something else, and while I was talking to her told her about the TV situation. She offered to drive the 45 minutes to my place and then another 30-40 into Sudbury with me in her van to get the TV for Lee!!!! She's the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back if you asked for it (:
So long story short, this is a card for her to thank her for going soooooooo out of her way for us!! She is a sweetheart!

I'm entering this in If The Shoe Fits... inspiration challenge (carnations). (Which I missed, so never mind ): I have the same problem as you Rox!!!)

The stamp is Ladybug Nora by CC Designs, butterflies, dp and cs are CTMH, ribbon and letters is from my stash. I used my nesties, copics and momento ink.

When I first coloured Nora, I added brown to the freckles, I went back later that evening and thought they looked funny so I decided to try and lighten them a bit. I ended up using the wrong copic and Nora is now very tanned!!! ): Oops!!!!

Friend

My CTMH order just came in, so I made sure I took some time to play with some of my new paper and stamps today (: (I put more stuff away in my scraproom last night so I had space to work today)

I'm entering this in the CPS sketch challenge for this week (#200) and the Heart 2 Heart challenge, use the colours Pear, Sky, Colonial White, and a bit of Sorbet.

Products used are all CTMH (January SOTM, CS, ink, ribbon, flower and brad) except for the cuttlebug folder.

Doesn't my green wall make a fabulous background for this card!?

My Excuse?? ):

I really haven't done much crafting the last couple of months, and I'm starting to run out of excuses (: but here are some pics of the before and after in our hallway and bathroom. The kitchen floor and walls are the same as the hall, but it's never been neat enough to take a pic to post ): We just finished it up before Christmas. We still have trim here and there to add but.... The next job is finishing up the basement (only the kids bedroom half got painted!!) and entrance way.

The only before pics I have of the bathroom are during renos (explanation for toilet in bathtub!!).
We redid our roof this fall and took the old falling apart chimney out. Of course it had to be going through the bathroom, so that meant the bathroom had to be redone too (drywall, floor...) I had picked up some things for a second bathroom because I had hoped we would be able to put on an addition in the next couple of years but since that won't be happening (no money left after supporting my scrapping habit!! lol) we figured we might as well put those things (sink, toilet, cabinet) into the existing bathroom. The walls are painted a very light grey.
I love having a "grown up" bathroom but my kids think it's BORING (we usually have Spongebob or bright fishy shower curtains).
We ended up having to redo the tub surround too, and tiling up above it because the new surrounds are shorter than the old one we had. It seemed like one little job always turned into a bigger job but we love the results!!
The colour we used in the hallway and kitchen is called Chocolate Cherry!!! It just sounded so yummy and went really well with the new floor.

So my plan this weekend is to stay off of the computer and get crafting so hopefully I will have a card or layout to post by Monday!!! My new CTMH stuff is here from the Inspirations Brochure and I can't wait to play!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!! and a New Challenge (:

So I'm going to take it upon myself to start the 2011 scrapping challenge and anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome!!! I'm going to be a bit more realistic with my goal this year, since I didn't come even close in 2010 ): I'm challenging myself to 1 page per week, so 52 in total, and 2 cards per month, so 24 in total. That way I'll have time for some altered items too (:

I'm still working on organizing all of my paper in my new room!! What a job! I'm having a hard time deciding what to do with my older CTMH half used packs. Do I take them out of the packages and combine them somehow?? or leave them??
Also, how should I organize my scraps??? (I'm thinking I should have just thrown half of them out!)
If you have any suggestions for me please send them my way.

So, anyway, I'm going to start the 2011 Challenge on my side bar and if you're interested in being a part of it just let me know and I will add you to it (:

Big Hugs for the New Year!!!

P.S. Roxy, Roz, and Kim, I have left you on for now (: no pressure of course!!
