Birthday Gamer!

I have had this image coloured for a while but haven't had the chance to get the card put together. It was my nephews birthday on the 5th (a little late I know!!) but I haven't seen him to get his gift ($) to him, so this weekend I found a bit of time to make this card!!
The image is LOTV and the challenge over at their  blog this week is Oh Boy (to make a masculine card) so it worked out perfectly for me (:. I also used Basic Grey paper (Oliver) so I am going to enter it in their Favorite Things challenge, I have to say BG paper is one of my fav things (: along with LOTV stamps!! I used the sketch from CPS and Cute Card Thursday's challenge was You're a Gem, which explains the bling on a boys card (:

Other products used: Spellbinders, SU and CTMH cs. CTMH sentiment and bling, copic markers, momento ink.

Winter Nights

Well exam time is here for the kids!! All of my classes wrote their exams yesterday so I have one huge stack of marking to do this weekend!!! Between that and visiting my MIL in the hospital (she had surgery yesterday) I am hoping to get some scrapping done this weekend. One of my CTMH sisters is starting up a new challenge blog this week and she has invited me to be part of her DT (: The blog is called Use It or Lose It, there will be a new challenge each week and along with the challenge you are supposed to use your scraps to create your layout. I think it will be good for me because I can tell you I have lots of scraps just dying to be used (: We will be showcasing CTMH products on this blog. The first challenge will start on February 10th. I will post the link then.

Anyway, back to today's layout. These pics are from almost 3 years ago already!!! Man time flies! Sometimes in the winter Lee will have a fire for the kids in our front yard. This night we even had sparklers. The kids had a blast!! I love how Kieran is holding Azelyn's hand!! They always got along so well back then, mind you Azelyn wasn't really talking/bossing yet (: They still get along pretty good but they have their moments too!

I used BoBunny paper. This is the 4th time I have used some from this line for a layout! I guess it's one of my favs eh!? I just love the mix of bright colours, they work for almost any type of picture. I also used some CTMH and BoBunny double dot cs. The title is MM alpha stickers and the twine is Jillibean soup. I doubt you can see it but I used liquid glass on some of the circles just to give it a bit of dimension. I also used a couple of SU punches and my uniball pens.
I am going to enter this in the challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge. They had a sketch (I altered it a bit) and the theme was winter. As well as at Seriously Creative Challenge with their
Let it Snow challenge. (thanks Rox (: I knew there was another one I was forgetting!!)

 Have great weekend!!!  (:

Oh Christmas Tree!!

Finally!! My first layout of 2012!! I've had it pretty much done for a week or so, I just needed to add my journalling, I finally got to it yesterday.

These pictures are from the day we went to get our Christmas tree. We hopped in the truck and took a drive down the back roads near our house. There weren't a tonne of nice trees down the road we went, but Aidan spotted this one and was so excited to cut it down (: It wasn't the normal pine tree we normally get, I think it was a spruce. The branches aren't as strong as a pine but it didn't lose as many needles, which was really nice for cleaning up (:
You'll notice that one of our family members is missing ): He is the typical teenager, time with his girlfriend comes before doing things with his family, but we had fun anyway!!
The picture of Lee in the antlers doesn't seem to fit in so well with the other pics I used but I finally got one of him with a normal smile, I even blew that pic up to maybe use on a layout all by itself (:

This is the other layout I did with my group last weekend. It is the layout from the samples for October's SOTM Holiday Magic,  at the back of the CTMH Idea Book. The actual sketch comes from our  Magic Book. It was a nice quick layout to put together. We used the Elemental paper pack, October's SOTM along with the eclectic alpha, some buttons and glitter glue. All products used were CTMH.
The flourishes were stamped and then traced with Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel, just in case anyone is wondering (:

Cherish

I was trying to organize and clean a bit over the holidays and I came across my many envelopes of Sears pictures. Some I haven't seen in a couple of years. I found this sweet pic of Azelyn when she was just a few months old and decided to use it for my sample for my club this month. We are duplicating the layout found in CTMH's idea book on page 29. I've changed up the colours a bit but that is about it. All product used is CTMH. I really like the little journalling pockets, they are simple but add so much!! I also used the new cork board alpha and the Love Life stamp.

This is my final layout from 2011!!! 78 pages total (:

5 in the bed and the little one said...!!!!

My kids and my 2 nieces had a sleep over at my parents' house. In the morning they took over Hunny & Poppa's bed. Aidan had a run in with a bunk bed that weekend which resulted in his beautiful black eye you can see in this picture!!

The paper is MME Fine and Dandy (boy and girl), the flourish is Eva, the pearls, chipboard, ink and stamps are all CTMH.

FIRE!!!!

These pictures remind me of the Robert Munsch story, Angela's Airplane!! except for the fact that Aidan is in a firetruck instead (:

These pictures were taken on Mother's Day a couple of years ago. The volunteer firefighters, in my little home town of Walford, ON, always put on a pancake breakfast to give all of those men an out for cooking breakfast for their wives and mothers. This time they brought out their "new" firetruck for everyone to check out. The kids just loved it.

I used BG Oliver paper and brads, Bo-bunny cs and CTMH stamps and cs. The title was cut using the cricut. I am a big fan of the Bo-bunny double dot/swiss dot cs! I find reds so hard to match but the fact that this paper has two tones makes it so easy!!

2012 Challenge!!

Happy New Year!!!
Cheers!! I apologize for the half naked kids!! We spent the night at home, drinking Shirley Temples, making pizza, eating treats and watching movies!! All 3 kids stayed up till the New Year (: Codie was out with friends.

I was supposed to go and visit with friends and family today but the weather isn't looking so great (between rain and snow!) so we're at home instead. It has given me a chance to peruse the new CTMH Idea Book and make my wish list (:
Lee is gone fishing, so in between blogging and shopping, I've been breaking up fights!! Aidan is getting restless and bugging the other two, so today would have been a good day to go somewhere and be with different people!! I keep threatening to throw them outside if they don't cut it out (:

Anyway,

I am starting my new challenge for 2012 (even though I'm not done posting 2011) So who is in for the new year!!! You can challenge yourself to cards, layouts/pages... and the rest of us will be there to comment encourage you (:
I am going to challenge myself to 78 pages, 12 fancy cards and 30 "quick" Christmas cards (maybe if I start them now I might be done by next December!!)
Let me know if you are in and I will add you to my side bar (:

Hugs!!

Jenn
