Quick Birthday card

Codie's girlfriend had her birthday just over a week ago. When my hubby asked him if he got her a card, Codie (a typical teenager) replied, "Why? That's what I have Mom for."!!!! I told him to keep dreaming, but then I caved and made this quick card for him to give her. I found the idea on Pinterest (I think I added the original to my board if you want to see it)
I embossed the cs with my Swiss Dot folder, punched the circles out of random (mostly MME) paper with my SU punch (& popped them up), stamped the sentiment with a CTMH stamp set, and tied ribbon from my stash around the side. It didn't take long at all (:

My contract was done when the March Break started, so today I got to send the kids to school and have some me time!!! I went and spent part of the day with my good friend Deb and we crafted up some cards!! The one I completed today is for the Use It or Lose It challenge this week, so you will have to stop by on Friday to check it out.
I have some work at another high school starting next week  (for a week or 2) so I am going to enjoy the bit of time I have this week for sure!!!! Crafting, cleaning ): and soaking up some of that gorgeous sun!!!

 Have a great week!!!

Jenn (:

  4. Wow, this is so striking, and I love the design! I think I'll be lifting this one too, hee hee! I'm thinking that simple cards are the way to go these days, seems like time is at a minimum, but it could be just that the kids are on Spring Break - can't wait till they go back to school! Enjoy your time off, and I agree with Roz, crafting is so much more satisfying than cleaning! Hugs, Roxy.
