I made this card over the weekend. I was a lucky girl and got to go spend 2 days with my friend Jen in Kagawong on Manitoulin Island. Her and her hubby Doug treated me like royalty and I got to colour for hours!!! Thanks again Jen for giving me your last piece of Java CS!!
Thanks to my Mom for keeping my kiddies!!
Andrea, I tried shading in the edges of the Nestie. It's not too bad but it's going to take some time to get it looking as nice as yours (or Kimmie's?? hee hee!!)
When I was colouring her hair I wasn't sure if it was a braid going around Polly's hair or a scrunchy type thing so that's why it's coloured pink. I realized later when checking out some of the Krafty Girls' cards that it is her hair. Oh well!!
I added beads to the center of the flowers so I could enter it in Kraftin Kimmie's Challenge 21- Just bead it. Thanks Tara for the great challenge!!I used the new Polly SS from Kraftin' Kimmie, Bazill CS, Basic Grey's Indian Summer paper, the ribbon I got from Scrappin' Great Deals. I used Momentos black ink and my copics to colour. The flowers and ink are CTMH.
I absolutely love this card! Actually I love Kraftin' Kimmie's stamps period, but your card is superb. No need to apologize for your colouring Jenn - it's perfect -- and lots of women wear different coloured hair pieces as accents - perhaps that's what she chose to do?

ReplyDeleteGreat card Jenn, you have made miss Polly look so sassy. I think the pink in her hair looks wonderful, I don't think it HAS to be hair at all. Love how you used the beads too!! Super card!!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! This is just gorgeous Jenn! I love the beautiful papers and Polly is looking super smokin' HOT,smile! I love that you coloured it is as a scrunchy in her hair...brilliant idea! I'm going to have to "borrow" that idea from ya, hun! Love the scrumptious ribbon and the beads in the centre of the flower is the prefect little touch...love this card, hun!
